On the 9 of July.2009, The Assistant Coordinator of The Project, Sasho Jovanov and the Cooperator for Public Relaton, Ivana Stojanoska took part at the TV emission “Zdravo Makedonijo” at Kanal 5 Television. The goal of this activity was the appeal towards all citizens who support this humanitarian project to donate for further and wider net of the users.

On the 02.July 2009, during the TV emission “Rano Den”, the statements were given by Jana Popovska, the Social Worker from the Service for Giving Care in Home Conditions, Magdalena Georgieska the Psycholog and D-r Biljana Jancheva. The social worker have potenced that the role of the social support is from the great importance for maintaining to the specific needs for the social protection for every user.

The main goal of taking part at Alfa Tv was, this project to be pointed and to have been given the main information all about. The telephone numbers for donation, which are:077/143-444,070/143-434 were been given.This happened at 26.June2009, at the Tv emission “Portik”. There were the assistant coordinator Sasko Jovanov and the coauthor for public relations Ivana Stojanoska.

At 19.June2009 at the TV emission “Dobro Utro Makedonijo” at the MTV1Television, Mrs Meri Terzieva the coordinator of the project “Service for giving care in home conditions” and D-r Biljana Janceva, have taken part. The main goal was informing for the needs of the services which are offered from the former staff of doctors, nurses, fisioterapeuts, auxiliary nurses, social workers and psychologist

At the 08.of the April,of the April.2009and 10.of the april2009, there were trainings for the auxiliary nurses held. The trainings were presented by The Institution for social activities for the needs of the Association for promoting of the conditions for care and settling of old age persons “Humanist”-Skopje.

At the 11.of the April 2009 the training for the professional staff, was held. The presentation was passed by The Institution for Social Activities for the needs of NGO “Humanost”.

The promotion of the Project “Service for giving care in home conditions”, by NGO “Humanost”

At the date of 04.04.2009 was held the Trainings for the professional staff, organized and coordinated by The Institution for Social Activities for the needs of NGO “Humanost”-Skopje.
Themes of the presentation:
1. The System of the Protecting of the senior persons in The Republic of Macedonia.
2. The changing of the senior persons and formof the out institutional protections:
- Day Care Center for seniors.
- Center for giving help in home conditions.

Establishment of the Association for Improvement of Conditions for Care and Accommodation of Aged and Feeble Persons ”HUMANITY” has been initiated by a group of citizens, currently its members, who share their beliefs and humane views on the necessity of improving the conditions and possibilities for care of aged and feeble persons at the territory of the City of Skopje and countrywide.

"Kindergartens-A place for getting together!"

Association for advancing of conditions for care and accommodation of elderly,”Humanost” from Skopje. From January 2010 is beginning with realisation of the Project ” Kindrgartens-A place for getting together”,with financial support from Holand Embasy!!!

This project is supported by:

This project is going to be realised in a period of one year,in Kindergartens “Snezana”,(Municipality of Gazi Baba) and Kindergarten,”25 Maj”(Municipality of Cair).

The project “Kindergartens-A place for getting together!”,is destined for children of bigger group and 60elderly, over 65 years old.

Twice a month,in the Kindergartens, will be held creative and thematic workshops which are in accordance with the curriculum of the kindergartens and this workshops cover themes from every day life of the children and adults.

The goal of this project is attendance of traditional moral values and progressing of social relations between children and elderly.

The project is going to be realised from the side of professional team of NGO”Humanost”-Skopje.

Service for Care and Accommodation of Aged and Feeble Persons in home conditions – at the Municipality of Cair

The service for Care in Home Conditions, presents out institutional form of social protection, directed for providing service at home, for old people to whom continued psycho - social and medical care, is needed.

The base goal is providing help and support to the persons to whom, because of an old-age help is needed or because of the hard sickness they are not in conditions to take care of themselves. And they can not realize their life needs and they don’t have anybody to help them.

Users of the Services For Care in Home Conditions are old people over 65 years old, persons in terminal stage of sickness and their families, in the Municipality of Cair.

This service is consisted of the professional team: doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers and psychologist.

The team that join the services will work 8 hours every day from Monday- Friday.

The offices of the services are – free!

The service is realized by NGO “HUMANOST”.

The project is in the cooperation with the Home for Senior Citizens “Meri Terzieva”, The Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Institute for Social Policy and other non government organisations from the citizen’s sector.

For the enable of the further and wider net of the users, we need everybody’s humanity and support.

Creating of the better conditions for the senior person’s life simultaneity signify the creating of the better and safer old-age for all, because ,one day we all will became old.

TO NOT FORGET THEM, THEY ARE PART OF OUR LIFES TOO.

The Non-governmental Organization “HUMANITY” Skopje and the Private Nursing Home “Terzieva” Skopje, in cooperation with the Social Care Center at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, has designed a one-year project in the area of care of aged persons and homecare for persons in terminal phase.

Project Objectives:

The Project covers 30 persons of age above 65 from the Municipality of Aerodrom selected randomly.
Depending on the personal needs a team of experts composed of a physician, nurse, psychologist, social worker, physiotherapist and a nursery nurse will pay a visit to each of these persons.
This Group will be operating under supervision of the SoFREE.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy has issued a special permit for implementation of this Project.
Kick-off of the Project is planned for 15 February 2009.

How to help us –old aged?

- I am old aged and bed- ridden person…

Don’t avoid Me. I want you to love Me and to be My friend as you always were.
If you wish to do something for Me, sometime is enough for Me to know that you are going to support Me and that you exists.
Laugh and cry with Me. Don’t be afraid to share your emotions with Me.
Inform Me before you come and visit Me, but don’t be afraid to come and visit Me. Don’t even imagine that an old age and bed-ridden need peace and isolation. Nay, I need you, because I am alone and I need communication.
Touch Me. Simple touch of support or a shake hand might tell Me how do you care for Me and how I meant to you. Thus I am not going to be lonely anymore.
Take care of Me, despite I live alone or live with others. Ought to them who take care of Me , they need some free time, time for themselves and time for their responsibilities. Take Me out of the House for Old Aged, accompany Me for a walk. I need some pleasure but take care how could I resist that.

Bring to Me small presents and flowers.
Talk to Me about real life, the life in which I live also, life which You live too. As I will be enclosed in everything that is happening.
